Jesus said to him: "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37-39

What We Do

Leadership Training

Our key strategy is to create and empower small supportive teams of young Haitian adults who learn and work together in an atmosphere designed to produce spiritual, intellectual and emotional maturity.

Curriculum

Our adult curriculum aims to instill proactivity and critical thinking skills, to promote application of Biblical principles to daily life and to teach leadership principles.

Written Curriculum (in Creole)

Seminars, Workshops, etc

Annual Leadership Conference

Annual large-scale leadership conference for the broader community

See Haiti Share News for announcements of recent or upcoming seminars and conferences.

One-on-one mentoring

Team Projects

Team members meet together to plan and execute a variety of community projects. Such projects build skills in communication and conflict resolution and promote self-reliance and practical compassion for others. We especially focus on projects that pass on to others the leadership skills and spiritual maturity team members are themselves learning.

Meeting Urgent Short-term Needs

Preparation for Self-Sufficiency

Schooling

One of the major ways in which Haiti Share hopes to promote self-sufficiency is by providing tuition assistance for qualified team members.

Job Training

We are partnering with Teen Challenge-Haiti to provide a program that will train young Haitians in job skills and thus increase their chances of becoming employable on the open market.

Haiti Share Online Training Center

Our online center makes our resources available to any Haitian with access to the Internet. Our written curriculum is posted here, as well as Internet links to resources such as translation tools, Bible Study tools and so on. Much, but not all, of the information is in Creole or French.
