Jesus said to him: "You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37-39

With all our minds...

The opening sentence of the gospel of John is: " In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God and the WORD was God."

The Greek for "Word" is "logos." There are two aspects to the meaning of this word.

First, it can have to do with speech, a saying, doctrine, teaching or discussion of ideas. Second, it can have to do with the mind, the mental ability to reason logically

According to the gospel of John, JESUS CHRIST is THE TRUE LOGOS. John also states that that nothing in this universe was created without the LOGOS. This means that the fundamental basis of the universe is LOGOS.

In the beginning was not a picture, or a symbol, an emotion, or even music, but pure thought.

I believe we have gotten far away from this truth. If we are to love the Lord our God with all our minds, if we are to fully enjoy the friendship of Jesus Christ, the embodiment of the LOGOS, we need to put a far greater priority on facing the pain of unacustomed hard thinking.
