Executive Director:  Dr. Betty Jean Harmsen

bettyDr. Harmsen has a Ph.D. in mathematics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, seven referred papers in advanced mathematics and 20 years full-time experience in teaching mathematics, half at the high school level and half at the university level. She has writen curriculum for remedial courses, both at the high school and college levels, over a period of many years and is currently teaching one day a week at a local community college.

Fall, 2010: Once again I see the heart for teaching my team has; the same heart that I see each summer during the Bible schools. I am a teacher too, not only by profession, but by motivation. So I will stop telling myself that my team and I should put on a hard hat, get on a bulldozer and clear away the earthquake rubble. No, we will teach. God willing, Haiti Share will build a curriculum and a program that will help young people in Haiti to think proactively and to communicate clearly and effectively, to find ways to become self-supporting and to teach the next generation in turn.  It is our God-given mission...Dr. Harmsen, excerpt from Executive Corner article

Leadership Consultant: Dr. Julio Volcy

Dr. Volcy is a native Haitian with a Doctorate Degree of Ministry from Christian Life School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2010 Dr. Volcy resigned his position as the lead pastor of Haitian Ministry Theophile Church in Bradenton, Florida to work full-time in his ministries to Haiti.  He is the founder and president of Hope Outreach International, an organization that networks with Haitian pastors, Christian schools in Haiti and several orphanages there. He also works with Teen Challenge-Haiti.
