Mission, Vision and Values

PURPOSE

Haiti Share has one purpose and one purpose only: to empower Haitians to share with Haitians. The expression, “local solutions for local problems,” has become our watchword in all that we do. We believe in Haitians. We believe that given the chance, they can resolve their own mind-numbing problems.

VISION FOR HAITI

We see a future with a substantial number of spiritually vibrant, mentally focused and emotionally mature young Haitians, supporting themselves and their families and reaching out in groups of like-minded Haitians to relieve the life-crushing burdens of their fellow countrymen and empowering the next generation to do the same.

VISION FOR THE FUTURE OF HAITI SHARE

In ten to fifteen years we hope to have Haiti Share teams of young Haitians all over Haiti, learning and growing in safe, small group environments, building each other up and planning and executing outreaches of their own, such as providing after school and summer programs for children, training community members in a variety of skills, sending out team members on evangelistic outreaches, and carrying out a variety of ministries of compassion chosen and implemented by themselves.
